Birding for Beginners starts at 9:00 a.m. at Chief Logan Lodge. Open to the public and geared for any age, meet in the main lobby of Chief Logan Lodge and join park naturalist Lauren Cole on a beginner birding experience. Learn binocular use, basic birding techniques, easy bird identification, and more, as we take a gentle hike up the hill around Chief Logan’s vacation cottages.
Free to attend and open to the public. A good program for folks in garden clubs, hiking groups, master naturalist, or generally curious folks. Families looking for an outdoor activity to learn more about birds with youth are encouraged to participate.
