Reserve your seat at a Farm-to-Table dinner at Chief Logan Lodge Restaurant. Restaurant staff are preparing a menu of locally sourced produce and products from WV Farmer’s Markets to create a Hoedown on the Hill dining event.
In a true hoedown way you ask: Hey Grandpa What’s fer Supper? “There’ll be Kale Soup, Wilted Lettuce Salad and Creamy Cole Slaw. Mel’s Southern Fried Chicken, Finger Lickin’ Ribs and Cabbage Rolls sure to make a button burst. Vegetables fresh from a garden market – Mashed New Potatoes, Half Runner Green beans and Fried Green tomatoes, Zucchini, and summer squash, I made a lot. Dinner is not complete without cornbread with cow butter salve. Carrot cake and ice cream hit the spot with a good cup of strong coffee. If you need more, it’s the Chief Logan Fruit Cobbler that sets this meal apart with all the honest goodness that is prepared from the heart. Yum. Yum.”
Watermelon off the vine for an after dinner treat. Moonshine Infused or plain and delicious. A horseshoe pitch off, bobbing for apples, cornhole and background music creates a modern day “Hoedown on the Hill” evening. The Farm-to-Table Dining Experience at Chief Logan Lodge requires reservations. Call 304-855-6100 to reserve your seat. Cost is $29.95 for adults and $14.95 for children.
