A FREE show—Holler and Hoods: Girls Like Us—is the strangest bird of all poetry readings ever to fly in these parts but it’s more than entertainment.

This page-to-stage collaborative poetry reading by Tuesday Taylor (http://imtuesdaytaylor.com) and Andrea Fekete (http://hollergirl.com) with photography from Taryn Conn, explores the similarities of growing up in the hollers and hoods.

Taylor hails from the WV projects and Fekete from a WV holler. Their work explores how their homes are more similar than different, how really, we’re ALL more alike than we know!

The project features photography of Buffalo Creek, West Virginia native and emerging photographer Taryn Conn (Instagram @tarynconn). There will also be an opening act soon to be announced.

Poet Tuesday Taylor and novelist-poet Andrea Fekete are out to impact life in hollers and hoods by celebrating local artists AND offering information on local community resources.
