Liam David Farley is 9 years old and is the son of David and Tabitha Farley of Chapmanville, WV. He has one younger brother, Kellan and is also the grandson to Phil and Alice Farley and Bernard and Tammy Hager.
Liam has been playing the fiddle since the age of four and enjoys playing his fiddle with his Papaw Phil, who always accompanies him on stage. The two together are just phenomenal!
Liam has had the pleasure of playing with bands such as The Primitive Quartet, Sleepyman, & Larry Sparks. He has been recognized and honored in several magazines, newspapers and media from all over the state. He has placed 3 times at the Vandalia Gathering in the 15 and under Youth fiddle category and was thrilled to win first place last year. He has also won first place at the Ed Haley Fiddle Festival in Kentucky 2 years in a row. Liam has also opened up several times for the House of Representatives and was invited to play for West Virginia’s Governor Jim Justice during Christmas 2018. Liam is a member of Tomorrow’s Bluegrass Stars, which is complied of a group of around 200 young future bluegrass stars from all over the United States. Liam was just recently featured on the television program “Woodsongs” based out of Lexington, Ky.
Opening up for Liam is the very popular band, Coal Fired 🔥. Also from Logan County, Coal Fired performs all your classic country and southern rock favorites. Over the last few years Coal Fired has been fortunate enough to perform with and open for big named acts such as the Georgia Satellites, Billy Dean and Confederate Railroad.
