Outdoor Activities at Chief Logan State Park

  • Turtle Talk and Trek:  Learn about native turtles while hiking the Cliffside Trail.  This activity will be held at Chief Logan State Park Museum on the following Saturdays: June 27, July 18 and August 15, 2020 beginning at 10:00 a.m.

 

  • Meet our Moths:  A unique opportunity too see moths and other insects up close by using a sheet and a special light.  The program will be held at Chief Logan State Park Museum from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, Friday, July 24 and Saturday, August 22, 2020.

 

  • Steam Engine View:  Take an up close look at the authentic coal powered steam engine located at Chief Logan State Park and learn the history of the locomotive.  The activity will be held on Friday, July 31 and Friday, August 21, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

  • Bird Watching & Hike:  Join us for bird watching while hiking the Cliffside Trail to look and listen for birds, as well as flora or other nature based objects.  This guided activity will be held at the Chief Logan State Park Museum beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2020.

 

  • Firefly Fun Walk:  Learn about fireflies and go for an evening stroll while searching for fireflies in the wild.  The activity will be held from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Chief Logan State Park Museum on Saturday, June 27 and Saturday, August 30, 2020.
