If you didn’t step out on January 1 or 2, 2021, this is a third opportunity to take a hike on New Year’s Weekend. Departing from Chief Logan Lodge, the wintry walk begins at 10:00 a.m. and will be on the gas well road. Please meet at the flag pole.

It is an easy hike that includes learning about basic hiking, outdoor safety and Leave No Trace principles. We’ll watch and listen for birds, identify trees using winter identification skills, and look for wildlife or their tracks. The hike is about one mile long.

Please dress for weather conditions and wear good hiking boots or hiking shoes. Young children should be accompanied by an adult. All ages welcome. No reservations required for this walk. Please carry water and a snack. To learn more, email [email protected].
