Tree-mendous Fun – Arbor Day activities
April 25 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Celebrate Arbor Day at Chief Logan State Park!
Join Park Naturalist Lauren Cole at the Museum in the Park for a gentle hike on the Cliffside Trail. This beginner trail lasts about 1 mile, and the hike finishes on a walking trail along the main green for a total of about 1 and 3/4 miles. On the way, participants will learn identification of common hardwood trees and complete a “plant pounding” craft as a take-home item. This tree-mendous activity begins at 3:00 p.m.
Free to attend and open to the public. Learning about trees is a great family activity or way to learn more about WV deciduous and evergreen trees and shrubs.
