Wild About Wildflowers is another opportunity to spy spring wildflowers with a park naturalist.
Did you miss our annual wildflower hike? Don’t worry, you didn’t miss the flowers, because, in spring, you’ll discover more buds and blooms each week in April and well into May!
Join park naturalist Lauren Cole at the flag pole at the Chief Logan Lodge at 10:00 a.m. for an easy walk to observe the spring wildflowers. We will stop to discuss spring blooms and the relationship between flora and fauna in West Virginia. The walk will last for one hour.
Free to attend and open to the public, this is a good program for folks in garden clubs, hiking groups, master naturalist, or generally curious folks. Families looking for an outdoor activity to learn more about spring wildflowers with youth are encouraged to participate.
